I took this photo during the day when I was scouting for an interesting location to come back and take some photos at sunset. This small chapel is in Santa Magdalena village in Dolomites. Here’s a POV experience of a weekend trip to Salbitschijen, Switzerland. The Salbitschijen is a mountain in the Urner Alps, overlooking Göschenen in the canton of Uri. It lies at the southern extremity of the range of the Fleckistock. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salbitschijen

Took this shot at sunrise next to a small bivouac place that we stayed overnight, in Swiss Alps. (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 18-35mm f3.5-4.5; 1/800 sec at f/8; ISO 1600. More photos at http://andrzejolchawa.com

I don’t have the luxury of living in a place where the light pollution is so low that it could allow to capture the Milky Way. That being said, last weekend I finally found myself in a position to photograph it, during my stay in Swiss Alps. Here are the results. Last weekend I went with some friends to see Salbitbrücke and take some pictures of it and the area. It is a high alpine pedestrian suspension bridge located on the way to the top of Salbitschijen in Göschenen, Switzerland. Soon I’ll publish some pictures, enjoy the video just for now 🙂

This photo was taken early morning at Alpsee (located in Hohenschwangau, Bavaria, Germany). I was counting for a nice sunrise but instead it was very foggy. (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 16-35mm f/4; 15 sec at f/18; ISO 100. More photos at http://andrzejolchawa.com

Dolomites are very famous for those amazing peaks painted with red at the sunset. That’s also the reason why I chose this place to shoot a sunset, hoping for strong direct light hitting the mountains during last few minutes of a spectacular sunset. This time we take you for a drive through one of out favorite routes – Sella Pass in Dolomites. Also this time, we added a short video from that drive 🙂 I always had this idea of taking a photo of my car somewhere in the mountains. Driving through Dolomites was an amazing experience, to the point that I only remembered to take this picture on the very last day, with not so good weather. Oh well, you know what they say, the best model is the one…

This photo was taken at Eibsee. It’s a lake in Germany located at the border with Austria. Its amazing colours and surrounding mountains make this lake our favourite to photograph.
