Took this photo while I was hiking in the Schönau am Königssee. I found this small pond above the Königssee lake and I couldn’t resist the view and stop there to take a few shots. Luckily I had a tripod and an intervalometer so I could easily compose an HDR sequence with me in the shot 🙂 (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 18-35mm f3.5-4.5; 1/50 sec at f/18; ISO 100. Dolomites are very famous for those amazing peaks painted with red at the sunset. That’s also the reason why I chose this place to shoot a sunset, hoping for strong direct light hitting the mountains during last few minutes of a spectacular sunset. This photo was taken at Eibsee. It’s a lake in Germany located at the border with Austria. Its amazing colours and surrounding mountains make this lake our favourite to photograph. This is one of the photos taken while I was driving through the Sella Pass in Dolomites. I took a number of photos at this spot, but this is actually the only one where the road was empty. On all other photos there were either cars or crazy bikers driving easily 100km/h (and that’s also the speed limit there…). Standing there, right after the bend, was a risky business, so I had to jump in and out when I saw an oncoming vehicle. (Click to see larger) Photo…

What a great start of the year! Andrzej’s photo has just been published in the issue 2016-01 of Landscape Photography Magazine 🙂 This photo was taken at Morskie Oko, one of the most famous lakes of the beautiful Poland! 🙂 (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 18-35mm f3.5-4.5; 0.6 sec at f/18; ISO 100 More photos at http://andrzejolchawa.com

I took this photo in Dolomites during our first sunset in that location. It’s a truly beautiful area and if you’re in Dolomites, this is one of must-see spots. This small chapel is located in a small village called Santa Magdalena and in the background you can see Sass Rigais and Furchetta peaks. At the proper time of the day, the light creates a spectacular view. (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 28-300mm f3.5-5.6; 1/6 sec at f/18; ISO 100. We were waiting for the sunset when huge and dark clouds started gathering over the mountain. Light rain had already started falling at the place we were at, however, we decided to wait a bit and take some photos. This was one of them. This photo was taken right outside of Füssen, Germany during one of our trip to Bavaria. We found this place when we were looking for a full mountain range view. The lake in front of you is called Bannwaldsee and in the background you can see the beginnig of beautiful Alps. Carezza lake is surrounded by woods and there’s actually only one entrance point from which there’s a view at a beautiful mountain range. It was an early afternoon and the light was still harsh when facing south, also the blue sky wouldn’t add much to the scene. I noticed though that the clouds started gathering over the lake itself so I decided to walk the lake around and see how does it look from the other side, as I couldn’t really see what’s behind me because of high…
