I took this photo during the day when I was scouting for an interesting location to come back and take some photos at sunset. This small chapel is in Santa Magdalena village in Dolomites. Took this photo while I was hiking in the Schönau am Königssee. I found this small pond above the Königssee lake and I couldn’t resist the view and stop there to take a few shots. There also were other hikers, so hey, I hope they don’t mind this shot 😉 (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 28-300mm f3.5-5.6; 1/500 sec at f/8; ISO 100. Took this photo while I was hiking in the Schönau am Königssee. I found this small pond above the Königssee lake and I couldn’t resist the view and stop there to take a few shots. Luckily I had a tripod and an intervalometer so I could easily compose an HDR sequence with me in the shot 🙂 (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 18-35mm f3.5-4.5; 1/50 sec at f/18; ISO 100. This photo was taken early morning at Alpsee (located in Hohenschwangau, Bavaria, Germany). I was counting for a nice sunrise but instead it was very foggy. (Click to see larger) Photo details: Nikon D800; 16-35mm f/4; 15 sec at f/18; ISO 100. More photos at http://andrzejolchawa.com

Dolomites are very famous for those amazing peaks painted with red at the sunset. That’s also the reason why I chose this place to shoot a sunset, hoping for strong direct light hitting the mountains during last few minutes of a spectacular sunset. This photo was taken at Eibsee. It’s a lake in Germany located at the border with Austria. Its amazing colours and surrounding mountains make this lake our favourite to photograph. This is one of the photos taken while I was driving through the Sella Pass in Dolomites. I took a number of photos at this spot, but this is actually the only one where the road was empty. On all other photos there were either cars or crazy bikers driving easily 100km/h (and that’s also the speed limit there…). Standing there, right after the bend, was a risky business, so I had to jump in and out when I saw an oncoming vehicle. (Click to see larger) Photo…
