Dolomites are very famous for those amazing peaks painted with red at the sunset. That’s also the reason why I chose this place to shoot a sunset, hoping for strong direct light hitting the mountains during last few minutes of a spectacular sunset. We were waiting for the sunset when huge and dark clouds started gathering over the mountain. Light rain had already started falling at the place we were at, however, we decided to wait a bit and take some photos. This was one of them. Carezza lake is surrounded by woods and there’s actually only one entrance point from which there’s a view at a beautiful mountain range. It was an early afternoon and the light was still harsh when facing south, also the blue sky wouldn’t add much to the scene. I took this photo while I was travelling around Dolomites, Italy. It was a really stormy weather and we were actually the only people there. Well, I’m not really surprised, it didn’t look promising. However, I had a feeling that being patient enough will bring some nice light along. I wasn’t mistaken, not this time at least… 🙂
